A refreshing layered drink combining sweet strawberries, creamy milk, and earthy matcha for a café-style iced latte at home.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 12 tablespoons sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 3/4 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Mash the strawberries with sugar or honey until juicy and slightly chunky, or blend for a smoother texture.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water until smooth and slightly frothy with no lumps.
  3. Spoon the strawberry mixture into the bottom of a glass.
  4. Add ice cubes over the strawberries.
  5. Slowly pour the milk over the ice to create a layered effect.
  6. Gently pour the prepared matcha on top.
  7. Stir before drinking and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use frozen strawberries (thawed) if fresh are unavailable.
