A refreshing summer drink made with blended watermelon, fresh blueberries, lime juice, and sparkling water for a light, fruity, and naturally vibrant beverage.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed and deseeded
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups sparkling water or lemon-lime soda
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 12 tablespoons honey or simple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Lime slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the watermelon into cubes and remove any seeds if necessary.
  2. Blend the watermelon until smooth, then strain if a smoother juice is desired.
  3. Add blueberries to serving glasses and gently muddle a few to release their juices.
  4. Fill the glasses with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the watermelon juice over the ice.
  6. Add lime juice and sweeten with honey or simple syrup if desired.
  7. Top with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda and stir gently.
  8. Garnish with fresh mint and lime slices before serving immediately.

Notes

  • Straining the watermelon juice creates a smoother drink, but it can be left unstrained for more texture.
  • Adjust sweetness based on the ripeness of the watermelon.
  • Add sparkling water just before serving to maintain fizz.
  • Frozen watermelon can be used for an extra chilled, slushy version.
  • Fresh herbs like mint or basil enhance flavor and aroma.
