Tender and crispy Salmon Bites coated in a sticky sweet chili glaze with garlic, honey, soy sauce, and lime. This quick and flavorful dish works perfectly as an appetizer, lunch, or easy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced, for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the salmon with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Lightly coat the salmon pieces with cornstarch.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the salmon bites for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  7. Pour the glaze into the skillet and gently toss the salmon until evenly coated.
  8. Let the sauce simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.
  9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Frozen salmon can be used if fully thawed and patted dry before cooking.
  • For extra crispiness, cook the salmon bites in the air fryer at 400°F for 8-10 minutes.
  • Add sriracha or additional chili flakes for more heat.
