A refreshing and naturally sweet frozen dessert combining tropical mango and tangy strawberries into a smooth, dairy-free sorbet.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar or honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Blend the mango and strawberries together until completely smooth.
  2. In a small saucepan, gently heat the sugar with water until fully dissolved to create a simple syrup. Let it cool.
  3. Mix the fruit puree with the cooled syrup and add lemon or lime juice.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer instructions, or pour into a shallow dish.
  5. If not using an ice cream maker, freeze and stir every 30 minutes until smooth and scoopable.
  6. Freeze for 2–3 hours until firm before serving.

Notes

  • Frozen fruit can be used instead of fresh.
  • Add fresh mint for a cooling twist.
  • Mix in pineapple for extra sweetness.
  • Strain puree for a smoother texture.
  • Let sorbet sit at room temperature a few minutes before scooping if too firm.
