Passion fruit iced tea is a refreshing tropical drink made with strong brewed tea, sweet-tart passion fruit pulp, and a light sweetener. It is chilled and served over ice for a bright, energizing beverage perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 23 black tea bags (or green tea bags)
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1/2 cup passion fruit pulp (fresh or frozen)
  • 23 tablespoons honey, sugar, or simple syrup (to taste)
  • 12 teaspoons lemon juice (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brew tea bags in hot water for 5–10 minutes until strong and flavorful.
  2. Remove tea bags and let the tea cool completely.
  3. In a pitcher, combine cooled tea, passion fruit pulp, and sweetener.
  4. Stir well until everything is fully mixed and adjust sweetness to taste.
  5. Add lemon juice if using for extra brightness.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes until cold.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint if desired.

Notes

  • Steep tea longer for a stronger flavor base.
  • Fresh passion fruit pulp gives the best natural taste.
  • Stir before serving as pulp may settle at the bottom.
  • Use sparkling water for a fizzy variation.
