A warm and comforting peach cobbler made with juicy peaches, rich brown sugar, warm spices, and a buttery golden topping. This classic dessert is simple to prepare and perfect served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
  3. Spread the peach mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until a soft batter forms.
  6. Spoon the topping evenly over the peaches without completely covering the fruit.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling.
  8. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.
