A refreshing and crisp mojito made with fresh mint, lime, and a hint of sweetness, topped with sparkling water for a light and cooling drink.

Ingredients

  • 810 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar or 1 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 ounces white rum
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Place mint leaves and lime wedges into a tall glass.
  2. Gently muddle them to release the lime juice and mint oils without over-crushing the leaves.
  3. Add sugar or simple syrup and stir to combine.
  4. Pour in the white rum and mix well.
  5. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  6. Top with sparkling water or club soda.
  7. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  8. Garnish with extra mint leaves and a lime wedge, then serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and add more sparkling water.
  • Do not over-muddle the mint to avoid bitterness.
  • Fresh lime juice provides the best flavor compared to bottled juice.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar or syrup.
  • Add fruits like berries or mango for a flavorful twist.
