A bold and indulgent comfort dish combining creamy mac and cheese with crispy chicken, finished with a sweet and spicy hot honey drizzle for irresistible flavor.

Ingredients

  • 300g pasta (elbow macaroni or similar)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken (fried or crispy baked)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 12 tsp hot sauce or chili flakes (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to form a roux.
  3. Gradually add milk while whisking, cooking until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
  4. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until fully melted and creamy.
  5. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and mix until well coated.
  7. In a small pan or microwave, gently warm the honey and mix in hot sauce or chili flakes.
  8. Transfer mac and cheese to a serving dish and top with crispy chicken.
  9. Drizzle the hot honey over the top and serve immediately.
