A warm and crispy grilled turkey pesto sandwich filled with savory turkey, fragrant pesto, and melted cheese. This quick and flavorful sandwich is perfect for an easy and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread (ciabatta or sourdough)
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced turkey
  • 3 tbsp pesto
  • 4 slices cheese (mozzarella or provolone)
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 1 tomato, sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup spinach or arugula (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet or panini press over medium heat.
  2. Spread pesto on the inside of each bread slice.
  3. Layer turkey, cheese, and optional toppings inside the bread.
  4. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  5. Spread butter or drizzle olive oil on the outside of the bread.
  6. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill until golden and crispy.
  7. Flip and cook the other side until the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove, slice, and serve warm.
