Ingredients
500g chicken thighs or chicken breast
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 medium potatoes, cut into fries
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
1 tablespoon fresh dill or mint, chopped
1 clove garlic (for tzatziki), minced
1 tablespoon olive oil (for tzatziki)
1/4 teaspoon salt (for tzatziki)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare fries by tossing cut potatoes with olive oil and salt, then bake at 200°C (400°F) for 25–30 minutes or fry until golden and crispy.
Make tzatziki by combining yogurt, grated and drained cucumber, garlic, olive oil, dill or mint, and salt. Mix well and refrigerate.
Cook the marinated chicken in a skillet or grill over medium heat until fully cooked and browned.
Let the chicken rest briefly, then slice into pieces.
Assemble the plate with chicken, fries, and a side of tzatziki.
Serve with optional pita bread or salad if desired.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for juicier results or chicken breast for a leaner option.
Bake or air fry the fries for a healthier alternative.
Prepare tzatziki ahead of time for better flavor.
Add a Greek salad or pita bread for a complete meal.
Ensure cucumber is well-drained to prevent watery tzatziki.
