A quick and wholesome dish featuring juicy chicken breasts and crisp green beans sautéed with garlic, lemon, and simple seasonings.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the green beans and cook until tender-crisp, about 5–7 minutes.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and drizzle with lemon juice.
  6. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to combine flavors.
  7. Serve warm with an extra squeeze of lemon if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the chicken to keep it juicy.
  • Frozen green beans can be used; thaw slightly before cooking.
  • Add mushrooms or cherry tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • Sprinkle red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • A small pat of butter can be added for richness.
