Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, for garnish
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Separate the crescent roll dough into individual triangles.
  4. Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Place a few berries on top of the cream cheese filling.
  6. Carefully roll up each crescent from the wide end toward the tip.
  7. Arrange the crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops lightly with beaten egg if using.
  9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Frozen berries can be used if thawed and drained well.
  • Add lemon zest to the cream cheese filling for a brighter flavor.
  • Vanilla glaze makes a delicious sweet topping.
  • Avoid overfilling to prevent the crescents from leaking during baking.
  • Mini chocolate chips can be added for a richer variation.
