Crispy fried chicken bites tossed in a sticky hot honey garlic sauce, delivering the perfect balance of crunch, sweetness, and heat.

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce or 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs in one bowl and mix flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in another bowl.
  2. Dip each chicken piece into the egg, then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the chicken in batches for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. In a separate pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  7. Add honey, soy sauce, and hot sauce or chili flakes, then simmer until slightly thickened.
  8. Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
  9. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the pan to keep the chicken crispy.
  • Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier alternative.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less hot sauce.
  • Bake or air fry for a lighter version.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions for extra flavor.
