A fresh and flavorful wrap made with juicy cilantro lime chicken, crisp vegetables, and a soft tortilla for an easy, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, sliced or diced
  • 4 large tortillas or wraps
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)
  • 2 cups lettuce or spinach
  • 1 cup tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or yogurt sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the chicken, lime juice, chopped cilantro, garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and cumin if using. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken until fully cooked and lightly browned, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  3. Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for 2 minutes.
  4. Warm the tortillas slightly so they are soft and easy to fold.
  5. Place lettuce or spinach, tomatoes, red onion, and cooked chicken in the center of each tortilla.
  6. Add a spoonful of sour cream or yogurt sauce if desired.
  7. Wrap tightly, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breast for a juicier result.
  • For deeper flavor, marinate the chicken for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Add avocado, black beans, or grilled vegetables for extra texture and flavor.
  • For a spicier wrap, add chili flakes or hot sauce to the marinade.
  • Store cooked chicken separately in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and assemble wraps fresh before serving.
  • The chicken can be grilled instead of pan-cooked for a smoky flavor.
