Crunchy, golden chickpea parmesan crisps roasted to perfection with savory spices and a rich cheesy coating, perfect for a healthy snack or crispy topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed (about 240g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the chickpeas thoroughly dry using a clean towel to ensure crispiness.
  3. In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 20–25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through cooking.
  6. Once golden and crispy, sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the chickpeas.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until the cheese melts and crisps.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving for maximum crunch.
