Crispy, bite-sized chicken pieces seasoned and fried to golden perfection, making a fun and satisfying snack or meal.

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon chili powder or cayenne

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into small, even bite-sized pieces.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and optional chili powder.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk or buttermilk.
  4. Dip each piece of chicken into the wet mixture, then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry the chicken pieces in batches for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
