A warm and gooey caramel apple cinnamon roll bake made with soft cinnamon rolls, tender apples, and rich caramel sauce. This easy one-pan recipe delivers cozy bakery-style flavors perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing included
  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cut the refrigerated cinnamon rolls into quarters and set the icing packets aside.
  3. In a bowl, toss the chopped apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter, optional vanilla extract, and optional salt.
  4. Spread half of the cinnamon roll pieces evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Layer half of the apple mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces.
  6. Repeat with the remaining cinnamon rolls and apples.
  7. Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the top and sprinkle with optional chopped nuts.
  8. Bake for 25–35 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through in the center.
  9. Allow the bake to cool slightly before drizzling the reserved icing over the top.
  10. Serve warm for the best gooey texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Granny Smith apples add tartness while Honeycrisp apples add sweetness.
  • Add raisins for extra sweetness and texture.
  • Pears can be used instead of apples for a softer flavor profile.
  • Cream cheese frosting can replace the included icing for added richness.
  • A drizzle of maple syrup enhances the caramel flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat gently in the microwave or oven to avoid drying out the cinnamon rolls.
