Ingredients
400g ground beef
1 cup orzo pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant.
Stir in tomato sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Add orzo pasta directly into the pan and stir well.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid, about 10–12 minutes.
Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream until combined.
Add grated parmesan cheese and mix until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini for extra nutrition.
Include red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
Mix in mozzarella cheese for a cheesier version.
If sauce thickens too much, add a splash of broth or milk when reheating.
