An easy and elegant appetizer featuring warm, melty brie topped with sweet honey and crunchy nuts, perfect for gatherings or cozy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel brie cheese (about 200–250g)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/3 cup mixed nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Place the brie wheel on a baking dish or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle olive oil lightly over the top.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped nuts evenly over the brie.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the brie is soft and gooey in the center.
  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle honey generously over the top.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh thyme or rosemary and a pinch of salt if desired.
  8. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Leave the rind on to help the brie hold its shape while baking.
  • Toast the nuts beforehand for enhanced flavor and crunch.
  • Add dried cranberries or figs for a fruity variation.
  • Maple syrup can be used instead of honey for a different sweetness.
  • Reheat gently in the oven to maintain a creamy texture.
