Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, chewy, and full of festive charm. Made with semi-sweet and white chocolate chips, and sprinkled with peppermint, holiday sprinkles, or powdered sugar “snow,” these cookies are perfect for holiday baking, cookie swaps, or cozy winter nights by the fire.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1/3 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles or snowflake sprinkles (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and peppermint or sprinkles if using.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  9. Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar once cooled, if desired.
