A rich and comforting rice bowl loaded with savory ground beef, buttery garlic-infused rice, and a generous layer of melted cheddar and mozzarella. This indulgent yet simple meal comes together quickly and delivers bold, satisfying flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  2. Stir in salt, black pepper, paprika, and onion powder. Mix well to evenly season the beef. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice and pour in beef broth. Mix well and cook until the rice is heated through and coated in garlic butter.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir to combine with the rice mixture.
  6. Reduce heat to low and sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella evenly over the top. Cover the skillet and cook for a few minutes until the cheese is fully melted and gooey.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add sautéed onions or bell peppers for extra flavor and texture.
  • Mix in red pepper flakes or jalapeños for added heat.
  • Stir in a spoonful of cream cheese for a creamier texture.
  • Add steamed broccoli or spinach for balance and freshness.
  • Use ground turkey for a lighter option and reduce cheese slightly if desired.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently with a splash of broth or water to prevent the rice from drying out.
  • Freeze the beef and rice mixture without cheese for up to 2 months and add fresh cheese when reheating.
