Decadent fudgy chewy browkies that combine the richness of brownies with the soft, chewy texture of cookies, creating an indulgent chocolate treat with crisp edges and gooey centers.

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  1. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  2. In a bowl, whisk eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until thick and glossy.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract, then fold in the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, and gently fold until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips or chunks.
  6. Scoop batter onto a lined baking tray, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer to a rack.
  9. Serve slightly warm for best fudgy texture.
