In under 30 minutes, you get tender, flaky salmon coated in a glossy, buttery glaze with hints of soy, honey, and spice—a perfect weeknight dinner that feels gourmet.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (or smoked paprika)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pat salmon fillets dry.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush with half of the glaze, coating tops and sides.
  4. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven, brush with remaining glaze, and return to oven.
  5. Bake for an additional 8–10 minutes, until salmon flakes easily and reaches 145°F internal temperature.
  6. Let rest for 2 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Add lemon juice to the glaze for a citrusy twist.
  • Use smoked paprika for a deeper flavor.
  • For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne or red chili flakes.
  • Substitute soy sauce with tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free option.
