This Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet is a one-pan, 25-minute wonder featuring tender chicken in a luscious garlic butter sauce with honey and smoked paprika. Naturally gluten-free, it’s a bold and flavorful dinner perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Mix butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl; set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken breasts 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F. Remove from pan.
  3. Pour chicken broth into the same pan to deglaze, then stir in butter mixture until smooth.
  4. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over it, and simmer for 2–3 minutes to meld flavors.
  5. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Add a splash of heavy cream or coconut milk for extra creaminess.
  • Toss in cayenne pepper for heat.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat gently in a skillet with broth if needed.
