Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecans, finely chopped
  • 1½ cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease/flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and oil until glossy.
  3. Stir in self-rising flour and salt just until combined.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract, honey, and melted butter.
  5. Fold in chopped pecans evenly.
  6. Pour batter into pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before slicing.
