Strawberries and Cream Puppy Chow is a fun, no-bake snack mix made with crispy cereal, white chocolate, and freeze-dried strawberries. Tossed in powdered sugar for a sweet finish, it’s fruity, creamy, and totally irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups rice or corn square cereal (like Chex)
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for smoother coating)
  • 1/2 cup crushed freeze-dried strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry cake mix or powdered strawberry drink mix (optional)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • Optional add-ins: mini marshmallows, pink sprinkles, extra white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Place cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips and butter (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in crushed freeze-dried strawberries and optional strawberry powder or cake mix.
  4. Pour the mixture over the cereal and gently stir until all pieces are evenly coated.
  5. Transfer coated cereal to a large zip-top bag or airtight container, add powdered sugar, and shake until cereal is fully coated and dry to the touch.
  6. Spread out on a baking sheet to cool for 10–15 minutes.
  7. Once dry, mix in any optional add-ins like mini marshmallows or sprinkles.

Notes

  • Use freeze-dried strawberries only—fresh will make the mix soggy.
  • Try strawberry-flavored candy melts for extra berry flavor and pink color.
  • Add themed sprinkles or M&Ms for holidays or parties.
  • Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
  • This snack is for humans only—keep it away from pets.
