Ingredients

  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (for salsa)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (for salsa)
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (for sauce)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (for sauce)
  • 6 small tortillas (corn or flour)
  • Extra cilantro or lime wedges for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and lime juice.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Set aside.
  3. For the salsa, combine mango, red bell pepper, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Mix and set aside.
  4. In a blender or food processor, blend mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), cilantro, lime juice, garlic, honey (if using), salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing shrimp in tortillas, topping with mango salsa, and drizzling with cilantro sauce. Garnish with extra cilantro or lime if desired.
