Savory Cajun Chicken and Creamy Garlic Parmesan Linguine is a flavorful, comfort-food dinner with spicy seared chicken and a rich garlic-Parmesan cream sauce tossed with pasta. It’s bold, cheesy, and quick enough for any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 23 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or reserved pasta water (as needed)
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, fresh parsley, lemon zest for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken on both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side or until fully cooked. Set aside to rest.
  3. Cook linguine in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute.
  5. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  6. Add reserved pasta water or broth to thin sauce if needed. Toss in the cooked linguine and coat evenly.
  7. Slice the rested chicken and serve over the pasta. Garnish with parsley, red pepper flakes, or lemon zest if desired.

Notes

  • Use shrimp instead of chicken for a seafood twist.
  • Half-and-half or milk can be used in place of heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
  • Add spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra texture and flavor.
