Pink Ravioletti for Lovers is a romantic pasta dish featuring heart-shaped ravioli tossed in a creamy pink tomato sauce. It’s elegant, flavorful, and perfect for special occasions like Valentine’s Day or an intimate dinner at home.

Ingredients

  • 1012 oz heart-shaped mini ravioli (cheese or spinach-ricotta filling)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the ravioli according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring to deepen flavor.
  4. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and mix until the sauce is smooth and pink.
  7. Add the cooked ravioli to the sauce and toss gently to coat.
  8. Plate and garnish with fresh basil or parsley and more Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Use beet powder or roasted beet purée for a brighter pink sauce.
  • Substitute with any small ravioli if heart-shaped is unavailable.
  • Use half-and-half instead of cream for a lighter option.
  • Warm the sauce gently to prevent curdling.
