Pear juice is a naturally sweet and refreshing drink made from ripe pears. It’s light, subtly floral, and full of nutrients, perfect for sipping on its own or using in smoothies and spritzers.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears
  • 1/4 cup water (optional, for blending)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, to preserve color and add brightness)
  • 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions

  1. Wash and core the pears, leaving the skin on.
  2. Chop the pears and place them in a blender with a splash of water if needed.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing to extract the juice.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and/or ginger if using.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator or serve over ice.

Notes

  • Use overripe pears for the sweetest juice.
  • Mix with apple or pineapple juice for a fruity blend.
  • Add herbs like mint or basil for a refreshing twist.
  • Make a pear spritzer by adding sparkling water.
