A comforting One-Pan Cheeseburger Pie Dinner made with seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar cheese, and a simple savory batter baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped pickles or tomatoes for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sauté diced onion until softened, then add minced garlic and cook briefly.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Cook until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Remove skillet from heat and sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly over the beef mixture.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together milk, flour, and eggs until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter evenly over the beef and cheese.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the top is golden and the center is set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Top with chopped pickles or tomatoes if desired.

Notes

  • Swap ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • Add mustard or ketchup to the beef mixture for extra cheeseburger flavor.
  • Mix in diced bell peppers or mushrooms for added texture.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze slices for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat in the oven for best texture.
