Soft and slightly sweet Hawaiian rolls filled with gooey melted mozzarella and cheddar, brushed with buttery garlic seasoning, and baked until golden and irresistibly stretchy.

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the Hawaiian rolls in a baking dish without separating them. Slice horizontally through the center to create a top and bottom layer.
  3. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and cheddar evenly over the bottom layer.
  4. Carefully place the top layer back on.
  5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, and salt.
  6. Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
  7. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cheese is fully melted.
  9. Let cool slightly, then pull apart and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add sliced turkey or ham for extra flavor.
  • Sprinkle red pepper flakes or add jalapeños for a spicy twist.
  • Swap cheddar for provolone or Monterey Jack for a different flavor.
  • Cover with foil during initial baking to prevent over-browning.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat wrapped in foil at 325°F (165°C) for 8–10 minutes.
