Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (about 2 tbsp)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles (optional)
  • Chopped green onions (optional, for topping)
  • Sliced black olives or jalapeños (optional, for garnish)
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water, cooking until the meat is evenly coated and well seasoned. Remove from heat.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine refried beans, softened cream cheese, sour cream, and half of both cheeses. Mix well.
  5. Fold the cooked beef into the bean mixture and spread into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining cheese and diced green chiles if using.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until cheese is melted and dip is hot and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions, olives, or jalapeños. Serve hot with tortilla chips.
