Louisiana Voodoo Fries are spicy, cheesy, and loaded with bold Cajun flavor. Crispy fries are topped with melted cheddar, smothered in zesty Cajun ranch sauce, and finished with jalapeños and fresh herbs. Perfect for a game-day snack or indulgent side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen or fresh-cut French fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheddar-Monterey Jack blend)
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeño slices
  • 12 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/3 cup ranch dressing
  • 12 teaspoons hot sauce (like Louisiana-style or Frank’s RedHot)
  • Chopped green onions or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fries according to package instructions or air fry/bake homemade fries until golden and crispy.
  2. While hot, toss the fries with Cajun seasoning for maximum flavor.
  3. In a small bowl, mix ranch dressing with hot sauce and a pinch of Cajun seasoning to make the Cajun ranch sauce. Adjust heat to taste.
  4. Place seasoned fries on a baking sheet or serving platter. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and return to the oven or broiler until cheese melts.
  5. Drizzle Cajun ranch sauce over melted cheese fries. Top with jalapeño slices and garnish with green onions or parsley if desired.
  6. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Top with grilled chicken or shrimp for a heartier version.
  • Use nacho cheese sauce or pepper jack for an extra cheesy twist.
  • Substitute ranch with blue cheese dressing for a tangier flavor.
  • Try sweet potato fries for a sweet-and-spicy combination.
  • Make the Cajun ranch ahead and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
