Ingredients
20–24 pickle slices, patted dry
150g cheddar cheese, cut into small squares
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions
Pat the pickle slices dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Cut the cheese into small pieces that match the size of the pickle slices.
Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Place a piece of cheese between two pickle slices to form a sandwich.
Coat each sandwich in flour, dip in egg, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Fry the bites until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve warm.
Notes
Use mozzarella for a stretchier cheese variation.
Add chili powder or cayenne for extra heat.
Air fry or bake for a lighter option.
Press the bites firmly to prevent them from separating.
Reheat in the oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
