Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped or grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and soy sauce until just combined.
  3. Form into 1–1.5 inch meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 18–20 minutes until cooked through and golden.
  5. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar (if using), and bring to a simmer.
  6. Mix cornstarch with water to form a slurry, then stir into the sauce and cook until thickened.
  7. Transfer cooked meatballs into a bowl or skillet and toss with sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Add green onions or parsley to the meat mixture for freshness.
  • Include chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy twist.
  • Substitute ground chicken for turkey if desired.
