Creamy, coffee-infused high-protein tiramisu trifles layered with yogurt, cream cheese, and cocoa for a lighter twist on the classic Italian dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla protein powder
  • 1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 4 oz light cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 12 ladyfinger cookies or 2 cups sponge cake pieces
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew strong coffee and allow it to cool completely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, softened cream cheese, vanilla protein powder, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Quickly dip the ladyfingers or sponge cake pieces into the cooled coffee without oversoaking.
  4. Layer the coffee-soaked cake pieces at the bottom of small serving glasses.
  5. Spoon a layer of the protein cream mixture over the cake.
  6. Repeat layers until glasses are filled, finishing with a cream layer on top.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to blend and texture to set.
  8. Before serving, dust with unsweetened cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings if desired.

Notes

  • Use chocolate protein powder for a deeper cocoa flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste or use a sugar-free sweetener for fewer calories.
  • For a lower-carb option, substitute low-carb sponge cake for ladyfingers.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Best served chilled; do not reheat.
