Heart-shaped Chocolate Chip Cookies are a sweet and festive twist on the classic treat. Soft, chewy, and filled with melty chocolate chips, these cookies are perfect for Valentine’s Day, special occasions, or just spreading a little extra love.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • Optional: mini chocolate chips or heart-shaped sprinkles for decorating

Instructions

  1. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Chill dough for at least 1 hour to make it easier to roll and cut.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Roll chilled dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  9. Cut cookies using a heart-shaped cutter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are just golden.
  11. Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  • Use mini or white chocolate chips for variation.
  • Decorate with melted chocolate, sprinkles, or icing once cooled.
  • Brown the butter for extra flavor depth.
