Grilled Salmon with Dijon Sauce is a quick, flavorful dish featuring smoky, tender salmon paired with a tangy, creamy Dijon mustard sauce. Perfect for summer grilling or an elegant weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

  • For the salmon:
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin on or off)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • For the Dijon sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Optional: Fresh dill or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  2. Brush salmon fillets with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Place salmon on the grill, skin-side down if using skin-on. Grill for 4–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until it flakes easily with a fork.
  4. While salmon cooks, whisk together Dijon mustard, mayonnaise (or yogurt), lemon juice, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  5. Once salmon is cooked, serve hot with a spoonful of Dijon sauce on top. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of mayo.
  • Add a teaspoon of honey to the sauce for a sweet-tangy flavor.
  • Capers, grilled lemon halves, or lemon zest make great additions.
  • The sauce can be made up to 2 days ahead and stored in the fridge.
  • This recipe also works well baked or pan-seared.
