Greek Chicken Tenders are juicy, herby, and bursting with Mediterranean flavor thanks to a bright lemon-garlic marinade. They’re perfect grilled, baked, or air-fried for an easy weeknight meal or healthy meal prep option.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken tenders (or boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into strips)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp plain Greek yogurt (optional, for tenderness)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice and zest, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir in Greek yogurt if using.
  2. Add chicken tenders to the marinade and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat grill, grill pan, oven (to 400°F), or air fryer (to 375°F).
  4. Grill or sear chicken tenders for 3–4 minutes per side, or bake for 18–20 minutes, or air fry for 10–12 minutes—until golden and cooked through.
  5. Let rest for 5 minutes, then serve with pita, tzatziki, salad, or rice.

Notes

  • Don’t marinate for more than 2 hours—lemon juice can over-tenderize the meat.
  • Add fresh herbs like parsley or dill after cooking for extra brightness.
  • Leftovers are great cold in wraps or salads.
