These Gorgonzola stuffed burgers are a juicy, flavor-packed upgrade to classic cheeseburgers. Made with seasoned ground beef and filled with tangy, creamy Gorgonzola cheese, these gourmet burgers are perfect for grilling or stovetop cooking.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 4 oz Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion (or toppings of choice)

Instructions

  1. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and flatten into thin patties.
  2. Add a spoonful of crumbled Gorgonzola to the center of 4 patties.
  3. Top each with a second patty, sealing the edges well to enclose the cheese.
  4. Season both sides of the burgers with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Cook on a preheated grill or skillet over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  6. Rest burgers for 2–3 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Use blue cheese or goat cheese as a variation.
  • For added flavor, mix jalapeños or caramelized onions into the patties.
  • Make ahead: Assemble patties and refrigerate up to 24 hours before cooking.
  • For oven baking, cook at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
