Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or strip), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 9 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • Optional: red pepper flakes or mushrooms for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Season steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak pieces 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese; simmer for a few minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Add cooked tortellini to the sauce and stir to coat.
  7. Return steak to the skillet, toss everything together, and warm through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the sauce for extra flavor and color.
  • Substitute chicken or shrimp for steak if desired.
  • Sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes or add hot sauce for a spicy version.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently with a splash of cream or milk to keep the sauce smooth.
