Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Extra Parmesan for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Add minced garlic, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper and mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the chicken thighs in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the chicken.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the skin becomes golden.
  7. During the last few minutes, switch the oven to broil if desired to crisp the Parmesan topping.
  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped parsley over the chicken.
  9. Serve warm with optional lemon juice or extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Boneless chicken thighs can be used and usually cook in 25–30 minutes.
  • Add a small amount of butter to the seasoning mixture for extra richness.
  • Italian seasoning can replace oregano for a stronger herb flavor.
  • Sliced mushrooms or cherry tomatoes can be added to the baking dish to cook alongside the chicken.
  • Roast extra garlic cloves with the chicken for a deeper garlic flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Freeze cooked chicken thighs for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10–15 minutes for best texture.
