Fried strawberry cheesecake sandwiches are a crispy, creamy dessert made with sweetened cream cheese and fresh strawberries tucked between buttery bread, pan-fried until golden. A warm, indulgent treat perfect for quick desserts or sharing.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 46 slices white bread or brioche
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for frying)
  • Optional: powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, or chocolate sauce for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Top half the slices with fresh strawberry slices, then close the sandwiches with the remaining bread, cream cheese side in.
  4. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the sandwiches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  6. Remove from skillet and let cool slightly before slicing.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar, roll in cinnamon sugar, or drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use Nutella for a chocolate-strawberry variation.
  • Try with different fruits like blueberries or raspberries.
  • Sweet Hawaiian bread or cinnamon swirl bread adds extra flavor.
  • To bake instead of fry, brush with butter and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Use slightly chilled cream cheese to prevent leaking during cooking.
