French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups are a quick and delicious twist on the classic French dip sandwich. Made with tender roast beef, melted cheese, and soft flour tortillas, these roll ups are perfect for dipping into a rich, savory au jus. Great for lunch, dinner, or party appetizers!

Ingredients

  • ½ pound deli sliced roast beef
  • 4 (12-inch) flour tortillas
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese or provolone (optional)
  • Butter or oil, for grilling (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • 1½ cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Lay out tortillas and evenly layer roast beef on each. Add a slice of cheese if using.
  2. Roll tortillas tightly, tucking in the sides to secure the filling.
  3. Optional: Grill the roll ups in a hot skillet with butter or oil until golden brown.
  4. In a saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Bring to a simmer for 5–7 minutes to develop flavor.
  5. Slice roll ups in halves or thirds. Garnish with parsley if desired.
  6. Serve warm with au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Swap cheeses—try mozzarella, provolone, or pepper jack.
  • Spread horseradish or spicy mustard inside for added flavor.
  • Add caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms for extra richness.
  • Use low-carb or whole wheat tortillas for a lighter option.
  • Slice into pinwheels for party snacks or kids’ lunches.
