These Easy Scalloped Potatoes are creamy, cheesy, and infused with garlic, thyme, and Parmesan for an irresistible side dish. With no separate sauce preparation, they bake to golden perfection in one dish—perfect for holidays, Sunday dinners, or cozy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 6 yellow potatoes, peeled and sliced ⅛ inch thick
  • Salt, to taste
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 cups heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a medium deep casserole dish.
  2. Arrange a single layer of sliced potatoes in the dish. Sprinkle with salt, minced garlic, Parmesan, and thyme. Pour a small amount of heavy cream over the layer.
  3. Repeat layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with Parmesan and thyme on top.
  4. Bake uncovered for about 1 hour, until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown and bubbly.
  5. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
