Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is a creamy, cheesy, and flavorful dish made with simple ingredients in under 30 minutes. Juicy chicken, tender pasta, and a rich garlic Parmesan sauce come together in one skillet for the ultimate weeknight comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove and slice or cube.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and melt butter. Sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add chicken broth, scraping up bits from the pan, and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and sauce slightly thickens.
  6. Return chicken and pasta to the skillet. Toss everything to coat in the creamy sauce.
  7. Top with extra Parmesan, parsley, or red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Add spinach or broccoli for more vegetables.
  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Substitute cream with half-and-half or milk for a lighter version.
  • Stir in cream cheese or a splash of wine for a richer sauce.
  • Reheat with a splash of broth or milk to keep the sauce smooth.
