Easy Cauldron Cookies are festive no-bake Halloween treats made with chocolate cookies, candy melts, and fun decorations that look like bubbling witch cauldrons. They’re kid-friendly, fast to make, and perfect for spooky parties, classroom events, or edible crafts.

Ingredients

  • 1216 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos) or chocolate fudge cookies
  • 1 cup black candy melts or melted dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup green frosting, green candy melts, or green-dyed white chocolate
  • 1/3 cup mini M&M’s, rainbow sprinkles, candy eyes, or Nerds
  • 68 pretzel sticks or candy canes, halved (for stirrers)
  • Optional: edible glitter, licorice strings, gummy worms

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange cookies in a single layer.
  2. Melt black candy melts or chocolate according to package directions. Spoon over each cookie to form the cauldron base.
  3. Add a small dollop of green frosting or green candy melts in the center of each to mimic a bubbling potion.
  4. Decorate the top with mini M&M’s, candy eyes, sprinkles, or Nerds while the toppings are still soft.
  5. Insert a halved pretzel stick or candy cane into the side as a cauldron stirrer.
  6. Let cookies set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10 minutes until firm.

Notes

  • Substitute sugar or peanut butter cookies for a fun twist.
  • Layer caramel under green topping for extra gooeyness.
  • Pipe green drips down the sides or add gummy worms for spooky flair.
  • To make vegan, use dairy-free chocolate and allergy-friendly decorations.
  • Can be made up to 2 days ahead and stored in a cool, dry place.
