Dunkin’ Donuts Boston Cream Croissant Loaf is a flaky, creamy, and chocolaty pastry that combines buttery croissant layers with rich vanilla custard and a silky chocolate drizzle. This easy croissant loaf recipe is perfect for brunch, dessert, or anytime you want a bakery-style treat at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) croissant dough or refrigerated crescent dough sheets
  • 1½ cups (360 ml) vanilla custard or pastry cream
  • ½ cup (90 g) dark chocolate, melted
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out croissant dough and divide into 4–5 thin sheets.
  3. Press one sheet into loaf pan, spread custard on top, then continue layering dough and custard. Finish with dough.
  4. Bake 35–40 minutes, until golden and puffed.
  5. Let cool 15–20 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
  6. Drizzle with melted chocolate and dust with powdered sugar before slicing.

Notes

  • Add espresso powder to the chocolate drizzle for a mocha twist.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips or nuts between layers for texture.
  • Layer in sliced bananas or strawberries for a fruity variation.
  • Use instant pudding as a custard shortcut.
  • Swap dark chocolate for milk or white chocolate for a sweeter finish.
