Crunchy crispy air fryer chicken & mozzarella wraps are packed with golden, juicy chicken, gooey melted mozzarella, and fresh toppings—all wrapped in a warm tortilla. They’re a quick and satisfying meal made lighter with the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or tenders
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices or 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 34 large flour tortillas or wraps
  • 1 cup lettuce or spinach
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Ranch, mayo, or preferred sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut chicken into strips and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs (or panko) with Parmesan cheese. Coat chicken strips in the mixture.
  4. Lightly spray chicken with oil and place in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
  5. Warm the tortillas and layer with lettuce or spinach, tomato slices, and cooked chicken.
  6. Add mozzarella cheese and drizzle with preferred sauce.
  7. Roll the wrap tightly and place back in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted and the wrap is slightly crisp.
  8. Slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use low-moisture mozzarella to prevent sogginess.
  • Swap in different cheeses or sauces for variety.
  • Add avocado, red onion, or hot sauce for extra flavor.
  • Store cooked chicken separately and assemble wraps fresh.
  • Reheat leftover chicken in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 375°F.
